People Help People Foundation

People Help People Ltd will tithe commercial profits across to the People Help People Foundation to support the causes our team are passionate about.

The aim of the People Help People Foundation is to support people and projects where they have not been successful in securing financial assistance elsewhere, working with businesses and funders to plug the gaps.

We help to capacity-build voluntary and community sector organisations through pro bono advice through our network of experts. In some cases, we offer bursaries for our workshops or coaching services.

We hold regular events called ‘Conscious Cafes’- events where people can get together to discuss the community issues that matter to them and find ways to come together to solve them. Check out the video below to get a feel of what takes place.

The charitable objectives of our Foundation are to develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged community of England in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society.

As part of our own charitable activity, Jean and Anj wrote a report on the scale of Female Genital Mutilation in Leeds. The report was launched at a high-profile event at the Civic Hall in Leeds in Sept 14. In Mar 15, they were presented with an ‘Outstanding Contribution’ award for this work by Peacemaker International, a Bradford-based charity.

The People Help People Foundation supports initiatives relating to:

  • Gender-based violence, Female Genital Mutilation and Forced Marriage
  • Older and vulnerable people living in isolation
  • Young people not in education, employment or training (NEETs)
  • Mindfulness in Primary Schools
  • Participation in sport for people with disabilities

The People Help People Foundation is currently an Unincorporated Charity and plans to become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.
